Coq Au Vin
Tender chicken, slow cooked with bacon lardons, button onions & a good glug of wine
Preparation time: A family feast in under an hour
Cooking Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 200˚C/180˚C fan assisted/gas mark 6.
2. Remove the plastic film & cover the dish with foil. Place the ceramic dish on a baking tray.
3. Bake in the middle of the oven for 35-40 mins, then remove the foil & cook uncovered for a further 15 mins to allow the bacon on top to crisp.
4. Leave to stand for 4 mins before serving, taking care of surfaces.
